Original art
Paintings from the Forth
Small, heavily textured originals about water, weather and light. Each canvas is a one-off.
Larger pieces & commissions
A painting made for you
As well as small originals, I paint larger canvases to order. Commissions start from £130, depending on size. The piece shown here (61 × 45 cm, not for sale) gives a sense of the scale.
- We talk through the size, colours and feel you're looking for
- The price is agreed in advance, before I start
- A 50% deposit secures your commission, with the balance due on completion
- Collection in Fife, or careful delivery by arrangement
About the work
The paintings come from the same place as my therapy work: noticing feelings and giving them shape. Thick paint is built up in layers, then scraped, carved and lifted so the surface changes as the light moves across it.
